Bankless Field Developments

Bankless Channel Checks

Can be made using either our range of channel checks or for larger flows, our bankless modules.

Modules are available in two heights, 750mm or 1000mm.

Bankless Channel Checks are made by placing wing modules and center pier modules at the desired bay widths, then pouring a cast-in-situ floor slab to suit with cutt-off walls.

Flow can be controlled by using timber or steel dropbars, or Aluminium Overshot Gates.

Access walkways can easily be bolted to the upstream side of the dropbar rebates.

Stantard “complete unit” checks can also be used in this situation. See section on Channel Checks.

Bankless Inlets

The bankless Inlets are designed to regulate water either from the supply channel into the first fields, or from fields to fields where an access bank is required.

There are three models available:

  • Small Inlets (50mg/day) up to 750 dia pipe

  • Medium Inlets (100mg/day) up to 1050 dia pipe

  • Large Inlets (150mg/day) up to 1350 dia pipe

The height of these inlets can be varied to suit the drop of bed level on either side of the structure.

The sill height and the opening can then be designed to suit. Raised back walls can also be included to help control erosion.

The water flow is either controlled by dropbars, an aluminium overshot gate or a screw lift controlled undershot sliding door.

The downstream discharge headwall comes with a variable height sloped sill to improve flow. They come in a variety of heights and depths to design.
